Inspirational Pumpkin Madness !!!

Let's see how easy it is to send your cells into a cryptic overdrive as they try and untangle these fantastic juicy facts around something which we must have all tasted and used before, but probably never taken the time to understand the facts around its existence.

Here we go are you ready for this:-

Pumpkins are grown on every continent apart from Antarctica. Well, not much gets chance to grow in Antartica but it’s an interesting fact we didn’t know.

The trusty Pumpkin is not actually a vegetable it is in fact classed as a fruit!!! They are a winter squash in the family Cucurbitaceae, which includes cucumbers and melons.

Every single part of the pumpkin is edible. Everybody we know pretty much peels and wastes the skin but its 100% edible along with the stem, seeds and of course that deeply flavoured flesh

Pumpkins are in fact 90% water which makes them ultra good for you. One swipe of sweet potato puree compared to the same amount of pumpkin puree has way over triple the number of calories in it !!!

Legends hold stories of a young pumpkin infused native lad called Stefano Blush who lived deep in South America before iPhones actually existed. Crazy Stefano was totally pumpkin infused and he lived for the orange-fleshed seasonal fruits to arrive on his pumpkin farm.

One season many centuries ago innovative Stefano was under severe pressure as mother nature shed her tears heavily over his farm at a critical growing time for his trusty crop.

Selfish mother nature ruined the crop in an instant and teary-eyed Stefano was in real trouble as he looked over his pumpkin patch to heavily flooded waters. Wet Stefano started to hunt down jobs in the local village as he was penniless but nobody would employ someone who only spoke about pumpkins.

On arrival home, one crafty dark night he once again went to drown his sorrows sat amongst his devasted crop. Whilst sat on a rotting friend he saw a vision of a man trying to wipe the mud away from his feet without much success.

Inventive Stefano reached down and touched his rotting friend to realise the skin of the pumpkin was actually drying in the now baking heat. Crafty Steffano leapt into action wiping away the rotting flesh and started to dry the skin weaving it into a mat which he sold at the local market the next month.

Rich Stefano from this day harvested his fruit every year and a small empire of pumpkin mats was born.

To this day you can still buy a pumpkin mat in South America. Stefano you are a most inventive pumpkin infused being and we salute you.

How radical is all of that ??
