    Asparagus

    The horrific rain we have seen this past week has caused the UK asparagus season to come to a quick end

    Tuesday will be our last delivery and we will then be into Peruvian supply...

    This year has been an elongated season as we saw early crop arrive in early April. UK crop won't return until next year its time to wave goodbye for another year.

    Cauliflower

    Heavy liquid sunshine (rain) has caused an issue with the UK cauliflower season.

    As above on the video, you will see supply is extremely tight due to a cross from Winter crop into summer curds.

    Added wetness has caused severe trouble - Broccoli is a far more affordable option

    Parsnips

    UK parsnip has come to an end and we are now looking into Spain for supply.

    Spanish crop is smaller in size although they still pack that parsnip flavour.

    Prices may increase for a short time until supply settles

    Wild Garlic

    The time has come to start to remove fresh wild garlic from the menu.

    The leaves are starting to split and fade back - the causes quality problems once picked so it would be wise to start to reduce your usage.

    We have been a tad sneaky though as we have been Lacto Fermenting some which will be ready in a few weeks - perfect for bread !!!
